No pictures today, I'm afraid!  Just a quick update from Alex.  Rusalka's course on Day 1 was NNE across Tasman Bay and Cook Strait, with wind more or less on the beam.  A pod of dolphins escorted the boat out of Nelson - always a good omen!

Overnight winds were 20-25kt true, with wash over the bow washing the side-decks clean and a beautiful moon to keep the watchkeeper company.  Unfortunately the crew, who didn't yet have their sea legs, were suffering a bit of mal de mer.  Here's hoping it passes quickly!

Rusalka has now turned NW, past a number of oil rigs, out of Cook Strait and into the Tasman Sea.
